American Indian Motif on Hardwood Floor

In addition to painting the surface of the fireplace in the lobby of The Wigwam Resort in Arizona I was also asked to paint American Indian motifs on the hardwood floor in the lobby. Researching American Indian motifs was an interesting study. There were many designs from tribes in the Arizona area. Here are a couple of photos of the motifs I chose as the finished project. My last weekend at The Wigwam Resort I rented a car and drove to Sedona for lunch and to check out shops and galleries. I meandered through several gift shops and galleries and chose a lovely little French restaurant for lunch. After lunch I was walking across the stone courtyard and heard the loveliest piano music. Beside the entry to the courtyard stood a man playing a keyboard. I stopped and listened for a while then walked up to the musician between songs and told him that I thought his music sounded angelic and asked if he had written the songs I had just heard. He smiled and said he had and introduced himself as Robin Miller. I asked if he had a favorite CD, he handed me a one called “Transcendence“, I purchased it.

A year or so later while having my website redesigned I new I wanted music on it so I phoned Mr. Miller to ask if he would mind if I put his music on my website and he graciously said yes.
